Helping Children and their Families
Succeed where they would otherwise struggle.
Pediatric speech, physical, and occupational therapy
COVID-19 Update: March 25, 2021
Thank you to all of our families who continue to be supportive during this pandemic! As reassurance that we are doing what we can to be safe, TheraPlay Spot continues to see children in the clinic with additional precautions:
Optional parking lot drop off and pick up. (Let your therapist know if you want this option.)
Therapists have mostly individual treatment rooms.
Adults are asked to wear a mask. Children are requested to wear one if they can.
Limited waiting room seating. Social distancing is requested with people who don't live with you.
No siblings at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We continue to offer and encourage TELEHEALTH sessions, especially in the following situations:
There are siblings who would otherwise need a place to wait
As a makeup session or an additional session
Your drive time is over an hour one-way
Anyone in your household is physically sick
Anyone in your household has been directly exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the last 7 days
You are not comfortable with this lowered social distancing option
If you or your child has a temp, change in smell/taste, or other symptoms commonly associated with COVID-19
Your child is medically fragile or has a lowered immunity
We are continuing our high standards for increased sanitizing efforts in the clinic.
Door handles, sink faucets, toilet flushers, and other frequently-touched surfaces are wiped down with Clorox every day.
We have added additional after-hours times where a food-safe disinfectant spray is used on all public surfaces.
Masks are requested.
All of the therapy rooms have access to hand sanitizer, gloves, and Clorox spray for further sanitizing.
Attending to the Special Needs of Your Child
TheraPlay Spot offers occupational, physical, and speech and language therapy for children up to their adolescent stage in Wichita, Kansas, and surrounding areas. Our professionals specialize in sensory processing disorders, including sensory-based feeding issues.
Who We Are
We are a group of playful therapists who are Kansas licensed, nationally board-certified, and experienced in pediatric therapy services. It is with great passion that we help children and their families succeed where they would otherwise struggle.
What We Do
Our goal is to help families add therapy strategies into their daily routines at home. We want parents to participate in making this possible, the same way we do with our one-on-one sessions. We can see your child in our sensory-based clinic, through telehealth, and sometimes in your own home, child's daycare, or private school.
